Our most passionate red wine
Vincarta visited Piedmont (Piemonte in Italian) and tasted dozens of wines but we literally had to gatecrash the winery at Conterno Fantino to discover this astonishing Barolo. We loved it so much we wanted the 2011 Vigna Mosconi to be the first wine sold on Vincarta.
Luxury and decadence
Forget Blue Nun. If you want to experience a genuine winegasm, you need to go to Germany and try their high-quality Großes Gewächs Rieslings. Mirela and Matthew visited Schloss Johannisberg in Rheingau and found this exquisite example.

This half-bottle of desert wine is the perfect alternative to Port or a sweet Sauternes at the end of a meal. It pairs perfectly with cheese or puddings. The Italians drink it with biscotti and panettone but we think it works brilliantly with dark chocolate as well.Buy now
The perfect alternative to overpriced, underwhelming Champagne. This 2014 vintage Riesling sparkling wine is made the same way, tastes better, has more heritage and costs less.Buy now
